Bobbi Kristina Brown was revived in hospital after being discovered in a bath in an eerie echo of her mother's death.
The daughter of late singer Whitney Houston has been taken to hospital after being found unresponsive in a bathtub.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, was discovered on Saturday morning by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend at a home in Roswell, Georgia.
They began performing CPR, as did medics called to the home in an Atlanta suburb, said police.
Ms Brown was revived after being rushed to the local North Fulton Hospital.
"She's alive at the hospital," said Lisa Holland, public information officer for Roswell Police Department.
Houston died aged 48 from accidental drowning in a bathtub at a hotel in Beverly Hills, California, in February 2012.
A coroner concluded that heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors.
Her ex-husband, R&B singer Bobby Brown, subsequently spoke of his concern about his daughter's alleged abuse of cocaine and marijuana.
She was admitted to hospital for stress and anxiety after her mother died.
Houston left her entire estate to her only child, although she must wait until she is 30 to inherit everything.
However, under the terms of the will a trust administered by Houston's family was to dole out money to Ms Brown at ages 21 and 25.
Houston left nothing to her ex-husband.
Bobbi Kristina Brown and her husband were raised as siblings after Mr Gordon was taken into Whitney Houston's home as a child, though never legally adopted.
According to reports, the young couple's marriage in January 2014 caused a rift among family members who did not approve.
Houston, a gospel singer's daughter, won six Grammy awards and sold more than 50 million records in the US alone.
Her hits included Saving All My Love For You, I Will Always Love You, The Greatest Love of All and I'm Every Woman.
